First Steps on Avesta with PAM & Objectives
First things first, you are going to want to speak to PAM a lot, you can find her little icon in the top right of your screen. She will guide you if you get stuck. If you still can't figure it out, ask in our discord general chat! Someone will help :)
When you start your journey, PAM guides you through a sequence of onboarding objectives, organized into small groups of tasks. Completing objectives earns Cultivator XP and gradually unlocks the apps and panels on your screen. Most of the interface starts hidden and appears as you progress, if you can't see an app or panel mentioned in this guide, you probably haven't completed the objective that unlocks it yet. Keep following your objectives and it will appear.
The current objective is shown in the Objectives panel (top-right) and highlighted in the bottom bar. Expand an objective to read its full instructions. They contain the exact steps to follow.
Great First Moves:
Play through the Objectives: they teach you the game and unlock new apps on the mobile device. It will also show you how to gather food etc
Get to know your Seedling: chat with them through Seedling Chat!
Engage with your society: reach out to Society Leaders and other Cultivators through Players Chat.
Check Society Goals: open the Society Panel (right sidebar) to see what your society is working towards and how to contribute.
Getting Unstuck: the "I'm stuck" Button
If you cannot complete an onboarding objective, expand the current objective in the Objectives panel the "I'm stuck" button is at the bottom of the expanded task info. It first asks what is keeping you stuck and gives a matching tip, then offers one or more remedies:
Skip this objective - skips only the current task. Cannot be undone.
Skip all objectives - skips the whole onboarding and unlocks all app features immediately.
Skipped objectives grant no XP or rewards. Cannot be undone.
Unlock all app features - unlocks everything onboarding would unlock but keeps your objectives so you can still play through them (and earn XP). Cannot be undone.
Move to another society- a shortcut to the migration interface. The right choice when another player is deliberately blocking your progress, for example when all nearby space is claimed.
General unstuck tips that solve most problems: an item the objective needs (Book, Herb Seeds, Survival Workbench, materials) is usually in your Tent's Contents or your Seedling's Inventory - check both.
If a placement is blocked, the ground must be flat, open, and not claimed by another Cultivator step a few tiles over. If a resource can't be found, walk your Seedling around; moving through nature reveals areas you cannot see yet. If a button is grayed out, the object may be in use, owned by someone else, or missing required materials nearby.
