Inbox, Outbox & Deliveries
Inbox & Outbox
Inbox: a building's main input container. Seedlings deposit harvested resources, crafted items, and delivered goods here; completed production tasks and Marketplace purchases arrive here by default. Machines and builders draw materials from it. Until you craft or buy more storage, you'll rely heavily on the Inbox.
Outbox: stores items ready for pickup, delivery, or sale. When a crafting task completes or a Sell Order is created, a Seedling places the item in the Outbox; Delivery Drones collect from Outboxes to transport to buyers, other buildings, or storage.
Deliveries
Initially the Society Kernel acts as temporary Delivery HQ with Seedlings as delivery personnel. Once a Delivery HQ Antenna (Marketplace) is affixed to a building, that building becomes a Delivery HQ with Delivery Drones: its benefits are available to all society members. Drones can be crafted or bought; fewer drones means slower deliveries, and you can never have too many. Track what's in transit in a building's Deliveries tab.
To move items between buildings: open the Properties or Business Panel of the building holding the item, go to the Inventory tab, click the item, and select "Move to Another Container": it's delivered automatically by your delivery personnel or drones. You can also simply drag resources between containers on the same plot, or drag items from your Seedling's inventory onto a nearby container and they'll walk over and drop them off. Just make sure a Seedling has the Haul or Deliver priority set (or use direct control) so someone actually carries it. Delivery takes time: a red dot on an item's icon means it's being moved out of the box, a green dot means it's being moved in. If you deliver to a destination with public access, other Seedlings may use the items, so consider a privately owned building to keep things secure.
Delivery speed depends on distance and the shipping option chosen at purchase. Same-society purchases arrive almost immediately. Inter-society purchases (via Spaceport and Global Market) offer three options: Budget (slowest, cheapest), Basic (default), and Express (fastest, most expensive, roughly five times faster than Basic, which is in turn ten times faster than Budget).
Earning with a Delivery Service
Your business can earn SeedCoin delivering for other Cultivators: open your branch's Deliveries tab > Delivery Agents, set the service to "Open", choose your price per distance, and assign employees or drones to external deliveries (internal agents only move items within your own location). When another Cultivator buys on the Marketplace, they can pick your delivery business; you earn by distance traveled.
