The Land Planner (right sidebar) is the spatial planning app for land. From it you can edit any plot you have permission over: a plot you own, or one your role gives you rights to (a business owner managing a business-owned plot, or a Housing Manager working with society plots).

Use the tools in the bottom-left corner to switch modes:

  • Plot Mode: overview of all plots you manage; select a plot to access Farming and Build Mode for it.

  • Road Mode: place new roads (cost SeedCoin). Roads give Seedlings clear walking paths, are useful in dense societies, and help long-term planning.

  • Territory Mode: see all the land your society controls; with the right permission, buy adjacent territory with SeedCoin to expand it. Your society's first territory claim is free, and plots hidden under the fog of war can't be bought until your society has explored them.

  • Subways / Spaceport: with the right society permissions you can build major structures: Subway stations speed up intra-society travel (up to 30 per society); the Spaceport is your society's gateway to the Global Market (goods sold globally ship out through it) and unlocks Orbital Storage. These tools are hidden without the permission.

Managing Plots

Each operation is reached by selecting a plot in Plot Mode or clicking a plot in the game view for its context menu. They work on any plot you manage and cost no SeedCoin:

  • Split: divide a plot into smaller ones: choose "Split" and drag across the plot to draw boundaries; you can split multiple times. New plots keep the original owner. You can't split through a building.

  • Merge: combine adjacent plots: choose "Merge", hold Ctrl or Shift to select plots, confirm. They must share the same owner, sit on the same territory, and form a rectangle (no L-shapes or gaps). Seedling-owned and society-owned plots can't be merged together. Buildings are kept.

  • Set as Claimable Plot: turn an empty plot (no buildings, no objects, not rented/listed) into one another Seedling can claim with a tent. Plots must be at least 4x4 to be marked claimable. Needs the right permission; can be switched back while unclaimed.

  • Delete plot: permanently return the land to society territory. A plot with buildings, or one being claimed, can't be deleted; any Real Estate listing is removed automatically. Cannot be recovered.

  • Draw new plot: only visible if your role can shape territory (Housing Manager, Urban Minister): drag across an empty area of territory to create a brand-new plot. It must stay within society territory, not overlap plots, and not cross a building.

Plots and Territory

A society's territory is the overall area of land it controls; plots are smaller pieces within it, ownable by a Seedling, a Business, the Society, a Department, or a Group. Plots don't exist by default. Someone with the right permission draws them onto the territory. Buildings are then constructed on plots. Building on a plot requires the right to build (owner, or a role granted that authority); harvesting natural resources is open to all society members anywhere in the territory.
