Socializing in SEED
The easiest way to help your Seedling socialize is through Direct Control: move your camera around, find another Seedling, click them and choose an activity, like a conversation or a wave hello. This initiates a relationship between the two Seedlings.
Through the Social app you track each relationship: its current role (e.g., Casual Friend, Crush), plus Compatibility, what they know about each other, and Like and Romance values. There's no cap on how many relationships a Seedling can have, they're naturally limited by how feelings fade over time. Relationships are also personal to each Seedling, so yours might see someone as a Friend while the other still considers them a Casual Friend. Interactions gradually build these values, unlocking more personal actions and shared experiences.
Seedlings start as Acquaintances, but from there relationships are fully autonomous. Seedlings form and progress their own friendships and rivalries based on how they feel, so you no longer set relationship tiers yourself. Friendships grow from Casual Friend to Friend to Best Friend as Like builds, and negative feelings can turn Seedlings into rivals or even enemies. Your job is to guide them through interactions and shared activities to shape their bonds. Seedlings in a relationship hang out automatically, based on how each of them views it.
Seedlings can also make plans in conversation: one asks another to hang out, proposing a free two-hour window later in the week at their home or an open venue. The other agrees or declines based on how they feel about the asker and their calendar; an agreed plan lands in both calendars right away. You can prompt this yourself by telling your Seedling in Seedling Chat to ask someone to hang out.
Compatibility
Compatibility describes how well two Seedlings get along, dictating how easy it is to grow their relationship. It's defined by how well their Personality Traits match and their currently active Interests: two extroverted Seedlings with the same active Interests are much more compatible than an extroverted and a reserved Seedling with mismatched Interests.
